Amesbury Canoe Race - Lake Gardner Improvement Association

4th Annual Lake Gardner Classic 5k Canoe and Kayak Race

The Lake Gardner Classic is a canoe and kayak race from the beach to New Hampshire and back. Bring your canoe and kayak to compete for fun and trophies! Mark your calendar for June 23rd, 2012.

Depending on how fast you are, the paddle takes between 30 minutes and an hour to complete. It's great for families and racers alike.

Live music will be provided by Kevin Wall. Maggie Sundae will be providing snacks for all racers! Plum Island Kayak will be there too, giving safety demonstrations before and after the race.

Difficulty Level: Easy

Date: June 23rd, 2012

Place: Lake Gardner Beach, Amesbury MA (off of High St)

Day-of-race Registration Begins: 9:30 AM

Mandatory Pre-race Meeting: 10:45 AM

Race Starts: 11 AM

Some Rules:

There is an 18’ limit on all non-racing canoes. Kayaks can be all sizes.
No inflatable boats.
All paddlers MUST have a PFD (life vest) with them, and minors must wear theirs at all times.
Youth is considered 15 and under.
No charge for children under 7 accompanied by an adult.

Pre-registration: $10 per racer
